General Terms
- Overview
These Terms apply to all goods supplied by Australian Portable Toilets Pty Ltd (APT).
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms override any other terms unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Orders
All orders must include product details, quantity, delivery address, and requested delivery date.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
All orders are subject to acceptance by APT. We may accept or reject any order at our discretion.
- Pricing
Prices are shown in Australian dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise.
Prices may change before delivery if:
- you change your order, or
- our supply costs change.
- Payment
Payment terms are as stated on the invoice or agreed credit terms.
Standard terms are 30 days end of month unless otherwise agreed.
We may require a deposit before supplying goods.
Late payments
If payment is overdue, we may:
- charge interest at 12% per year,
- recover any collection or legal costs,
- stop supplying goods, and
- require all outstanding amounts to be paid immediately.
- Delivery
Delivery costs are the customer’s responsibility unless agreed otherwise.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only. We are not liable for delays.
Goods are considered delivered when they arrive at the nominated address.
If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect details or access issues, additional charges may apply.
- Risk and ownership
Risk passes to you once the goods are delivered.
Ownership remains with APT until the goods are paid for in full.
If payment is not made, we may recover the goods.
- Returns and claims
Inspection
You must inspect goods on delivery.
Any issues such as damage, shortages, or incorrect items must be reported within 2 business days.
Returns
Returns must be approved by APT and:
- requested within 10 business days,
- include proof of purchase, and
- be unused and in original condition.
Return freight is your responsibility unless agreed otherwise.
Change of mind
Change of mind returns are not guaranteed and are assessed case by case.
- Warranty
Our goods come with guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:
- a replacement or refund for major failures, and
- repair or replacement for minor issues.

- Portable Toilets – 24 months
- Portable Showers – 24 months
- Trailers – 24 months
- Vacuum Tanks – 24 months
- Urinal Units – 24 months
- Handwash Stations – 24 months
- Accessories and parts – 12 months
- Waste Tanks – 12 months
- Pumps and accessories – 12 months
- Chemicals – not covered
What is not covered
Warranty does not cover:
- misuse or abuse
- modifications
- unauthorised repairs
- normal wear and tear
Making a claim
You must notify us within 7 days of becoming aware of an issue.
We may repair, replace, or refund the product.
- Product availability
All products are subject to availability.
If we cannot supply your order, we will refund any amounts paid.
- Cancellation
We may cancel an order before delivery.
You may request cancellation, but approval is required.
Costs already incurred may be charged.
- Liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.
Our liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied.
- Indemnity
You agree to cover any losses we incur due to:
- misuse of goods, or
- breach of these Terms.
- Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control.
- Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- PPSA
We retain a security interest in goods until fully paid.
We may register this interest under Australian law.
- Termination
We may stop supply if you:
- fail to pay, or
- breach these Terms.
All outstanding amounts become immediately payable.
- Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
