FAQs
How does a sewer connected portable toilet work?
A sewer connected portable toilet works by connecting the toilet’s waste outlet to an existing sewer or septic system. When the toilet is flushed, waste is discharged through the plumbing connection rather than being stored in a holding tank for later removal. A suitable connection, drainage arrangement and water supply are required for installation.
Does the Sewer Connect portable toilet require a waste tank?
No. The Sewer Connect model is designed to discharge waste directly into an approved sewer or septic connection, rather than relying on a conventional holding tank. This makes it particularly suitable for installations where a suitable waste connection is available.
Can a sewer connect portable toilet be used on construction sites?
Yes. Sewer-connected portable toilets can be an excellent option for construction sites where toilet facilities are required for an extended period and an appropriate sewer connection is available. They provide a convenient alternative to conventional chemical toilets, particularly for longer-term site installations.
What is the difference between a sewer connect toilet and a chemical portable toilet?
The main difference is how toilet waste is managed. A chemical portable toilet stores waste in an internal holding tank, which needs to be emptied periodically. A sewer connect portable toilet discharges waste directly into an approved sewer or septic system. Sewer-connected units are particularly useful for longer-term installations where suitable plumbing infrastructure is available.
